As if being a phenomenal business leader, community servant and mother weren’t enough, Rebecca Macieira-Kaufmann is also an author. She, along with Lillian So, a highly sought-after transformational coach, co-authored the book, “Fit CEO – Be the Leader of Your Life”. This book demonstrates how to achieve holistic health in your busy life- at work, home, and play.

Known for breaking barriers, Rebecca is a corporate board director and a seasoned CEO who advises other CEOs. She launched RMK Group in 2020 to advise CEOs on critical matters that impact their company’s culture and ultimate success.

Listen below as Rebecca Macieira-Kaufman talks with Brenda Ross-Dulan about the challenges she encountered as an American woman operating as an executive in foreign countries.

Prior to her current role, Rebecca spent 12 years with Citigroup. She ran Citigroup’s International Personal Bank in the U.S. and became the first woman to serve as CEO of Banamex USA, a Citigroup affiliate and the largest bank in Mexico. She met Brenda met when Rebecca served as Head of Wells Fargo’s Small Business Group – a division that served over 2 million businesses. She was a leader at Wells Fargo for 13 years.

Rebecca graduated cum laude from Brown University in Providence, R.I., where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Semiotics. She was also a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Helsinki, Finland. She went on to earn an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Stanford University.

She serves on the boards of several fintech firms and finds time to support her community. Rebecca is on the board of governors of the San Francisco Symphony, the Senior Jewish Living Group, and was previously on the boards of the Jewish Vocational Services, Congregation Emanu-El, and the Asia Society, to name just a few.
